The Biggest Cuban Sandwich at the 2014 National Cuban Sandwich Festival in Tampa For the 3rd year in row the Cuban Sandwich Festival that is held in Tampa, Florida will attempt to break its own record and create the world’s largest Cuban sandwich. The festival, now on its 3rd year, created a 35 foot long the first year surpassing the 30 foot one that was the biggest one previously created in Miami and a 49 foot long the second year. This year is said to be even bigger. The record might not be recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records, but hey we still want bragging right for the city of Tampa and the festival. Record or no record, the best thing about this achievement is to see how the participating restaurants come together to create the sandwich that is later on given to feed the homeless in Tampa Bay. On the second day of the festival Sunday March 22, you can enjoy how it all comes together at the Hillsborough Community Campus (HCC) in Ybor City. Not only is it fun to see all of these people putting this huge sandwich together but to know that is going to be donated for a great cause afterwards is even more satisfying. Last year’s sandwich fed about 100 people, not too shabby. The Cuban sandwich festival is a cultural and family oriented festival that is held every year to bring the Latin community of the Tampa Bay area and beyond together. It’s a celebration of culture, traditions, food, music and more. You don’t want to miss this great event. How long do you think that the BIGGEST Cuban sandwich of the century is going to be at the Cuban Sandwich Festival this year? Take a guess. I say 60 Foot. What do you guys think?
